The Deciding Years

The Grades That Open Doors

Senior High is where everything comes together. IGCSE results determine A-Level options. A-Level results determine university offers. There's no room for guesswork — and at Brookwood, there isn't any.

Many of our Senior High students are full-time homeschoolers, but a significant number also join us for per-subject tuition — particularly for IGCSE and A-Level subjects not available or well-taught at their current school. We deliver the same quality of teaching to both.

Two Pathways

IGCSE & A-Level Programmes

Two Years of Focused Preparation

Students take 7–9 IGCSE subjects, including compulsory core subjects (English, Maths, Sciences) and optional electives. Each subject follows either Cambridge or Pearson syllabuses. Lessons are exam-focused from day one — every topic is taught with the final exam in mind.

Compulsory Core Subjects

English Language, Mathematics, and at least two Sciences form the foundation that universities require. Additional compulsory subjects may vary based on the chosen exam board and your child's goals.

Optional Electives (Choose 3–5)

Students select from our full range based on their interests and future plans. Our academic advisors help ensure subject combinations align with university course requirements — so no doors are accidentally closed.

Deep Specialisation

A two-year deep-dive into 3–4 subjects. A-Levels require significant independent study, research skills, and analytical thinking — we build all of these progressively. Students emerge ready for university-level work.

We Handle the Logistics

Exam Registration & Support

For homeschool students especially, the exam registration process can be overwhelming. We take care of it.

Private Candidate Registration

We register students as private candidates at approved Cambridge and Pearson exam centres. You don't need to navigate the system alone.

Transparent Exam Fees

Exam fees are separate from tuition fees and communicated well in advance — no surprises.

Clear Exam Timetable

We provide a detailed schedule with dates, times, and venues so your child knows exactly what to expect and when.

Nationwide Coordination

For students outside Nairobi, we coordinate with partner centres in Mombasa, Kisumu, and other cities. Special arrangements (extra time, etc.) can be requested through us.
