Universities and employers don't just look at grades. They look for students who can lead, collaborate, communicate, and contribute. Our co-curricular programme is how we develop those qualities — and students can opt in based on their interests.
Whether your child attends in-centre in Nairobi or studies virtually, they can select from a wide range of optional activities. In-centre students participate physically; virtual students join live sessions. The community is shared — the activities are shared too.
Activities are optional and charged per term. This allows families to customise the school experience without paying for activities they don't need. Specialist one-on-one lessons (e.g. individual music tuition) may have separate fees, always communicated clearly before commitment.
Pick the activities you love. Full-time homeschool, in-centre tuition, or per-subject — add co-curricular options as you see fit. Charged per term.
Co-curricular at Brookwood
All activities below are optional and charged per term. Select as many as you like during enrolment.
Team drills, tactical play, and inter-house matches. In-centre students train on the field; virtual students join strategy sessions and fitness challenges.
Ball handling, shooting technique, and 3v3 competitions. Access to court time for in-centre students and virtual skill breakdowns for remote learners.
Serving, setting, and team rotation. Regular practice sessions and friendly matches throughout the term. Suitable for all experience levels.
Vocal training, harmonisation, and instrument exploration. The choir performs at termly showcases and community events — a highlight of the school calendar.
Drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed-media projects. Student creations are displayed in our virtual gallery and at in-centre exhibitions each term.
Improvisation, script work, and stage production. Builds confidence and public speaking ability. Termly performances open to the whole school community.
Structured debates, persuasive speaking drills, and inter-school tournaments. Develops critical thinking that transfers directly to exam writing and interviews.
Hands-on experiments, STEM challenges, and science fair preparation. A space for curious minds to explore beyond the curriculum and get messy with discovery.
From basics to advanced strategy. Weekly puzzles, club tournaments, and entry into regional junior chess leagues. All skill levels welcome.
Build, code, and program robots using LEGO Mindstorms and Arduino kits. Project-based learning that makes engineering tangible and incredibly fun.
Volunteering projects, environmental clean-ups, and local charity partnerships. Students learn leadership and empathy — qualities universities and employers actively recruit for.
Python, Scratch, web development, and app design. And more clubs added based on student interest — let us know what you'd love to see next term.
Give your child the full experience — academics, creativity, and the confidence to stand out in any room. Choose the activities that spark their passion.
